Nikon SMZ-1 microscope for macro photography?

Post by Cunha »

Hello,
today someone bring me a Nikon SMZ-1 microscope.
So dear friends I need your help because I never used a device like this.

I do macro photography with Canon gear (5DMIII+MP-E65mm/100mm L).

Where do I find a user manual for that Nikon microscope?
Is it possible to use my Canon camera with it? What do I need?

Please be helpful with me. I´m a newbie with this device and this kind of camera+microscope use.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Best regards.

I'm not familiar with stereo microscope. If you have any 50mm prime lens you can try afocal.

You can also connect through 2x adapter like this one:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Microscope-Adap ... 1c40b96612

Here you can read about a bad experience with that kind of 2X adapters (likely the same under other brand):
