Need ID in video

Post by ddavis1979 »

Hello all,

Again I want to reiterate that I am new and have limited money and equipment, but my thirst for knowledge is deep. Sorry for the quality.

In this video there are, what I assume are ciliates, but wanted to know an more concrete ID. As mentioned in the video comments, the water movement looks like a vorticella, but the body shape didn't seem to corroborate that ID.

thanks!

David, welcome aboard!

With luck one of our more knowledgeable members will drop by and comment. For the moment I would naively suggest something like Rhabdostyla .
