Beautifully simple composition in light and colour. The strongly directional light from the window (at right) works very well. There's plenty of detail in the shadow areas too - did you use any form of reflected light?

No just faced them towards the window and that was it. Just like this one which is just dandelion heads brought indoors and stacked up vertically:-

Beautiful flowers Dave. I did not notice that the yellow ones were dandylions until you told me......they look large like mums :wink: The Periwinkles are wonderful floating against the black background.

So thats a Periwinkle. :D Funny, I always imagine those little snails that clutter up my trout streams as being Periwinkles too, little algae scavangers :lol: A really nice shot of them though, I will keep an eye out for them around here. The Dandelions are very creative. I was just thinking over doing the same thing yesterday but never did act on it. Wish I had now :lol:
