Little Lithops Three

Post by beetleman »

Three more wee ones........If I had darker colored stones, they would blend in much better with their surroundings  The round ones are about .5" in diameter and the oblong one is probably close to an inch. I love the beautiful, warm, rich earth tones.!

(I love flowers) You cannot really notice it on these plants (maybe you can), but the top surfaces of these plants are translucent windows with liquid under the surface. basiclly this is for protection from the intense sunlight they endure in their habatat. In picture #1, the light cream color on the top is the window and in picture #2, the dark orange is the window. You will be able to see it better in the next batch of pictures I will post. Just imagine the heat, UV, and dryness these plants must endure (We would be parched and mummified in three days)
