Scientific American on cultivating bacteria and algae....

I found this book (printed on paper!) at the library in junior high school, and most of the projects were far beyond me....But I did grow bacteria and algae as described here and view 'em through the rinky-dink "Perfect"-brand microscope I owned at the time. Photography of such small critters wasn't even a distant dream for me at the time, of course.

Some of the other chapters besides bacteria and algae will probably interest some of y'all.
