got the microscope from the lab and decided to try again with a spider
i think the results are better.
im still having trouble with lighting and reflections (the microscope lens is reflected in the eye ), ill have to practice more

I agree -- this looks better to me too.
Reflections in the eye are very difficult to avoid. The main thing you can do is make sure that the front of the objective stays in shadow. See http://www.photomacrography.net/forum/v ... hp?t=13636 for some discussion. Reflections can also be reduced by cross-polarization, but that is much more difficult to set up.
