Hey guys,

I just purchased Helicon Focus Pro. I'm not sure what the hell is going on. The video tutorial uses the default settings and I haven't changed the settings either. I've imported all my images to stack and I get one really horrific looking image that's not aligned and very blurry...

It stacks perfectly in zerene stacker..

Looks like it's completely botched the alignment. Check first to be sure that you really are processing just one stack and don't have any bogus frames included. Then do an Edit > Reset Settings. Then go to View > Preferences > Autoadjustment tab, and try increasing the values for Vertical position, Horizontal position, and Magnification to be sure that they're large enough to allow things to line up.

Of course I'm delighted to hear that this stack runs perfectly in Zerene Stacker, but the differences shouldn't be quite this obvious!

I'm not sure, Rik - I hear a lot of people say Zerene works out of the box and neither of the others do Cool
I can vouch that CSM/P is a pain by comparison.

I'm glad to see that things are going better for you.

These look like a good start. You may find when you get deeper into stacking that there are significant differences between the various tools for more challenging stacks. See for example the comparison HERE.

I sure have noticed that!
I thought that effect was the fact that I didn't take enough photos through the stack..
I purchased a license for ZS too so I'll run the same stack in that too and compare the differences.
