Pau asked me to post pictures with the Senarmont polarizer set on a position with less contrast (more lighter background), the following are images with the polarizer set on a less contrast position.
All with Nikon TE300, plan apo 20x/0.75, N2 condenser prism, 20x objective prism, flash and Canon TE300 mounted on the front port of the TE300 (giving 40x on the sensor). All are crops to show details.
Let me know if you would like to see other setings.

Very nice, perhaps a bit less spectacular but the amount of detail in the specimen seems the same.
I like in special the ones showing the cilia metachronal waves.
