Bug Support for Stacking

Post by axh50268 »

I've built a similar setup to this one from John Hallmen,

My question is how to hold or support the dead bug without break it? Using a Needle, Glue? Could you share with me your experience?

Thanks a lot,
Ariel

Ariel, welcome aboard!

If the specimen is dry when you want to mount it, then glue on a needle works well. If the specimen is fresh or relaxed, then it can be pinned. When pinning, it's best to use "insect pins" made for the job. They are long, thin, and springy.
