Sea snail

Post by Wim van Egmond »

This is a picture from the plankton of the open ocean. A Heteropod, Atlanta sp, a seafaring snail. This animal swims using long wing-like parapodia. I have found the genus name but it would be nice to find out which species it is. The image is a composite of a couple of images because it was too big, about 1.5 mm.
