Horsefly in a sea of bokeh

Post by Graham46 »

I parked my car under a tree so I could wash it in the shade and when I came back out I saw this hybomitra sp. hanging out on the hood and eventually up on the roof. He let me get fairly close, closer would have been better, but he took off after a few minutes. I got about 12 shots, this one was my favorite. Taken with a 5D mark ii and the 100mm L macro
ISO 400 1/250 @ f/5.6 with IS turned on.

Graham,

Beautiful bokeh!

An interesting photograph with gorgeous colour and a touch of mystery.
