Stentor polymorphus

Post by ralfwagner »

Hello,

since Tuesday this week I have my new microscope, an used Zeiss Axiolab. The following picture is taken with the 20x/0,3 Ph2 Plan-Neofluar in bright-field. The objektive is so light-sensitive, that a 1/1250 s exposure time was sufficient. A use of a flash-light therefore is obsolete.

The foto is shown here as shot, that means without any further digital processing.

I' m always fascinated by the coordinated movement of the ciliae. A great performance that this stentor shows here.

That is a great photograph Ralf, especially without a flash. Maybe I should look in to a new set of Plan-Neofluar objectives for my Axiostar, amazing! :D

Great capture on the cilia. Good luck with the new scope.
