Greetings from Perth, Western Australia.
My name is Jan and I am an engineer by profession having worked mostly in electronics. I now work for an engineering plastics company drafting and programming a CNC router. Born in Redditch England, I moved to Perth in 1992 after a couple of years in California.
I love to photograph close up and macro of just about any object. I use an Olympus E-3 for field work with a 50mm macro lens and a home made flash bracket and diffuser. For bench use I have a simple horizontal rig that consists of an Olympus E-510, a Pentax M42 auto bellows, bits of a microscope and a few inexpensive lenses.
Never one for participating in forums, this one is inviting enough to make me change my mind. I have learned much from the generosity of members and am sure I will continue to do so.
