After seeing Ib Mathiasen’s excellent post ‘Experiment’ I finished up work on another moth that I had been working on..

Walt... very nice! The composition is great as well.

It works fine as is. Looking at the lower right makes me wonder how it would look if a few more "layers" were added to the stack.

Looks like a feathered boa. The three textures and colors are very contrasty (is that a word) :wink:

Absolutely! Google define: contrasty picks up four definitions, all pretty much the same (for a change -- English being what it is).

Maybe word contrastable could pass also but contrasty is more photgraphy specific, perhaps :?: :? :roll:

Thank you all for your encouraging comments. I don’t seem to have Bill D convinced of the eyebrow however. So I submit a single close-up lens shot of this moths head showing the ‘eyebrow’ like feature in its entirety. This moth is not very large and the naked eye can barely see this feature. It surprised me when I first say it because of the color difference.
