I just ordered a set of focus rails from Kirk.I have the camera,lenses and Kenko tubes.I hope the rails do what I want.I hope to do some focus stacking.

Quinton,
Regarding the Kirk Focusing Rail; are you referring to the one at the link below?

The type of subjects you intend to photograph will determine how 'course' or 'fine' the individual slices will need to be .i.e. the higher the magnification, the finer the slices.
Can you elaborate further regarding your intentions; are they specific or general?

I think with my Nikon d-700 and Kirk tubes i have gone as far as I could.I think the rails will let me focus better and maybe get into focus stacking. |

I also need help with selecting a lens.I want a 50mm but do I get a macro,non macro,manual or auto focus . |
