I was unable to find out what those are and would appreciate any pointers. The first picture was with a 20x objective; the second 40x objective taken in three frames, each comprising about 1/3 of its length and combined in Adobe Elements8.

(Nikon E Plan Achromats, CF PL 2.5x projection lens, Olympus E-P1 camera).

I will also be very grateful for any critique of the technical or any other aspect of the images.

But the sale looks wrong. I'll have to check if I made a mistake in my calibration bars.

Edit2: I double-checked-- I cannot see anything wrong with my calibration bars.
