Hello World!

Every 30 days the site administrators will pick a favorite macro or close-up image from one of the "Macro and Close-up" galleries to be featured on the front page of the www.photomacrography.net website.

Most types of caterpillars I know eat their way out, then finish off most of the shell after they've emerged. It's odd to see an array of essentially intact shells like we have here. I don't see any caps, though, so I'd guess these little critters did eat at least that much.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

Yes they eat the cap until the marked line and crawl out. I still need to process that video and share with you, you can see the process there.
