I am interested in buying a Nikon CFI Plan Achromat 10x if anybody happens to have one lying around that they do not need. Together with an adapter to something like 52mm filter thread would be preferable but not required.
It seems to have a good reputation in the forum, but it's worth a try to see if anybody has a surplus.

henke,
An appropriate adapter can be found at the link below:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Nikon-CFI-M25-micro ... 0287554493
Regarding the objective. There is one listed on eBay at the moment. However, Nikon have an outlet in Sweden. It may be a worthwhile exercise to contact Nikon regarding the purchase of a new objective. Last time I looked, the retail price was approximately USD $250.00.
If Nikon do not have the part or the price is too high, send me a PM. I know where there is one lying around.
Craig

To use a classic quote from 'Antz' - "I almost know exactly what I'm doing!"
I did try finding a Nikon reseller around here for microscope objectives but failed. I suppose you are right that they need to be contacted as they don't seem to have much of a web presence with regards to microscope objective sales.
Regarding the eBay item: I have seen it and I am considering bidding on it, although I'm not all too keen on auctions (stressful) and likely (?) import duties.
I mostly regard this thread as a long shot, but an attempt nonetheless.
Thanks
