Going to try a Rev 50 setup. I am aware of how this is done through my reading through the past year and a half. My question leans more towards "which" lens to use. I understand most use an old ~50mm lens that they have lying around...since I am new to SLR's, I have no extra lens besides my kit 18-55 mm lens. Will this be sufficient? If not, I will buy a used one on ebay. What do I look for to go with my Canon 30D/Sigma 150mm combo? Aspherical, Spherical, brand, etc.

[edit] Hmm, on second thought, I should have put this in the Equipment forum instead
Rev 50 setup...which one?

Ken,
Your kit lens will vignette horribly, but you can play with it to get a feel for the technique.
For routine use, I'd expect any of the non-zoom 50- or 55-mm f/1.8 lenses to work OK. There will be differences in optical quality, but probably not huge.
You'll probably pay more for shipping than for the lens.
