Fly foot

Here's a couple of images I've taken of the foot/first leg joint of a fly:

Both taken with my Bresser LCD microscope (hardly top of the range kit) using the 10x & 40x objectives.

I have been waiting all winter for the bugs to come out so I could try mounting bug parts. Are these just dry, or under a cover glass?

They were mounted and actually came with one of my toy microscopes
