Is this spider harmful?

This spider is outside of my in-laws and they don't want to get rid of it. Anything to worry about? Sorry about the poor picture. It was so windy that he kept grabbing my lens. Taken handheld with Tamron 90 mm macro lens. Highly cropped, but this was a pretty large spider.

Standard harmless orb-weaver?

Well, I'm not going so far out on a limb as to actually recommend anything...but if this were outside my door I'd leave it. Yes, this looks like an ordinary orb weaver.

I'm assuming, of course, that your in-laws live in the U.S. Anyplace else, please ignore my comment.
