It not something that will universally improve all shots all of the time. I've used certain "home-made" adapters for a long time with no apparent problems. Then, all of a sudden, a certain lighting arrangement allows a bright light to hit the internal sides and things look pretty bad. So now I just treat the insides of everything as best I can (paint or flocking, baffles) and it helps to eliminate such unpleasant surprises.No flocking yet though. Honestly, I don't see the need. Maybe at higher magnifications?
