Gypsey,

Were you replying to an existing thread or starting a new topic?

If you were starting a new topic and did not include a subject name you would receive the following error message.

Error Message: "You must specify a subject when posting a new topic."

This error message would be displayed after the page refreshed; the contents of your post would still be intact, but requiring a subject name to complete the process.

However, it sounds to me like you have lost the contents of your message when the screen refreshed. Is this the case?

I was starting a new topic.

I didn't notice an error message, so it appears that I have lost the contents of the message.

I thought that it might be hiding in the system somewhere.

So do I just start again.

Regards

Gypsey,

The post may have been retrievable immediately after the problem occurred via >back button>refresh; but not now :(
So do I just start again.
Yes.

If you are writing a long and complicated post, it is advisable to highlight and 'select' all the content and 'copy' to clipboard; that way if a problem occurs you can usually use 'paste' to replace the content.
