Anaea archidona wing section
Canon 50D, Nikon 20x M Plan 210/0 ELWD Microscope Objective @210, (stacked in Zerene Stacker)
Some blown highlights and other blobs; but I liked the look of it.

*edit: adjusted title

Thanks David,
I'll need to check on the name of the butterfly. I've had it in storage for some time - but I did not attach any info to the specimen after setting; so will need to check my records and delve into memory.

Rogelio,
The illumination was a fiber optic ringlight attached to the objective and half a 44mm ping pong ball for a diffuser. Some discussion regarding the ringlight Here. Slices were 6 micron. I did a stack using 2 micron increments but the six step gave a more desirable outcome in this instance.

Thanks Charlie!
...yes, I've chosen to post under my name instead of using "augusthouse"
Now, to track down the name of this butterfly.
