BTW... I have both Nikon and Canon "cheap Chinese" extension tubes but they are not the same size. The Canon one's are larger.... 57/0.75 sounds about right. If so, there are some very interesting pieces here that might prove useful with those tubes for special set-ups: http://www.sciencecenter.net/hutech/bor ... /index.htm
I recently bought Nikon and Olympus 4/3 from "Pixlamb" because he's UK based. But the tubes look the same as those from elsewhere. They seem fine, and for a long length, all screwed together they're more rigid than a stack of bayonet type.
Pehaps a little shiny on the inside, and of course no baffles.
To further hijack Andrew's thread, I made a minor discovery with those Chinese tubes, which is of use to me, though perhaps nobody else...
The 4/3 male end will, just, go into an OM (ie film type camera mount) female extension tube. It doesn't lock of course, but it's quite tight, more so than a body cap. I say "just" because you have to tilt it very slightly first, which isn't at all dramatic, there's absolutely no force involved.
If you're wondering why, it's because I have an OM 65-116 sliding tube which - is another story.
It seems there aren't too many options with adaptors to fit an OM body, but scouring about, there are T mounts, reverse 52/55/58 adaptors, and an EOS to OM body adaptor.
