Hi Harold,

The only Google hits for Sarcophaga Caranaria are a Heavy Metal Band

I can find listings for Carnaria and Canaria in both scientific and lay publications and my ID book is Canaria.

The Natural History Museum in London lists it as Carnaria so I would be inclined to believe that ...

My fault: I thought I had written carnaria. Sorry folks. My specs are getting so scratched (aka very soft focus) it is time I got some new ones.
