the Passion Flower (Passiflora coerulea)

Post by Franz Neidl »

It is very difficult to make a macrophoto from the Passion Flower - because of the depth of field. So I was happy to be able now to work with a stacking program. I used for each picture 3-5 photographs.

Lovely shots, with a perfectly-coloured backkground.

These are some of my favourite flowers to grow and to photograph.

This year I have several species as seed. Nobody seems to know exactly what their needs are for germination, some needing light. They can take up to many months to germinate.

The other seeds I am growing this year, having enjoyed the scent of one species in the Corsican Maquis, are species Clematis. Again, they can be very difficult to germinate.

Why do things the easy way?
