little shells

You can find in the sand of the Mediterranean beach very little shells (few millimeters). They are transported during the high tide to the sand. After the high tide you see a small line along the coast and if you look carefuly you see the little shells and other rests of animals. Today I photographed some of this empty mussels.

It is good to see images of shells again. The scope for photography is enormous.

By "mussels" did you, perhaps, mean cockles, the roundish shells in the second image?
