Baltic See Coast Part 1

Post by Ecki »

Hello,

this spring I took my family to the baltic see.

This coast is active, its shape changes pretty fast. The sea brings sand and prolongs the land. Saltmedows develop and are a home for a lot of birds. Bays are pinched off from the sea and become lakes with no connection to the sea - thus changing into freshwater. The different landscapes that are so close to each other are simply stunning.

I was mainly interested in the moors and swamps as I collected samples to view with the microscope at home.

Most of the aera is a state park and closed for visitors.
