Craig:
This gives me an idea. I mount my 2nd fill flash on a small table-top tripod close to the subject/lens. Always the problem of it being knocked over. However there is plenty of space beneath the lens to simply lay the flash either flat on the table or flat on the bellows rail. Tidy, effective and safe.
Sometimes the obvious is perhaps too obvious.

” I suppose you are an entomologist ? “
” Not quite so ambitious as that, sir. I should like to put my eyes on the individual entitled to that name.
No man can be truly called an entomologist,
sir; the subject is too vast for any single human intelligence to grasp.”

Even underwater, the main light should generally come from above the subject.

How about applying a similar approach, submerged or semi-submerged in a 'wet set'?

A new member joined some months ago, and on his website he had some amazing images. I will need to have a good look for that link tommorrow.

Right now, under water could be the safer place for Alskans.
