I have those but prefer the BBC's life in the undergrowth series :P ;)

A classic clip:

Not an insect but great anyway.

I already have "Life in the Undergrowth". Dalton and Brackenbury are on the way.

That video is a treat! One of the peculiarities of my personal website is that somehow it has become the #1 hit for Google images query on mating slugs -- even though I've only seen the event one time and have only posted one picture of it! I added the youtube link to my page just now.

Many thanks for the pointers, guys. :D

My copies of these books have now arrived. I have one word: "Wow!"

Many thanks for the recommendations.

Dalton really took this to the next level in the mid 70's and kept going. I pretty much built my high-speed system based upon Dalton's books.

"Borne On The Wind" and "Caught In Motion, high-speed nature photography" were my two most valuable resources.

Hi MD,

Welcome to the forum!

I also have a copy of "Caught in Motion". While we are at it, there is also another by Stephen Dalton "Split Second".
