I grew some crystals!

Post by Cyclops »

And i didnt even know about it!
Years ago I bought a bottle of methylene blue for staining slides. The scope and gear got forgotten about until recently and I had a look at some 'clean' slides and found one that had some dried meths blue on its edge. I got curious and so popped it under thse scope and lo and behold, blue crystals have formed!
Its quite hard to see the stuf itself as its formed opaque clumps but I definitely see crystals!

Sunspots on a scale such as that would really cause some disruption, on a really, really, grand, scale eh? Nice shot there Cyclops. :)

Sunspots on that scale would be the end of us I reckon!
I tired to capture a pic of sunspots recently by projecting the image onto our white fridge, but we'reat sunspot minimum at the moment, and I only saw the one spot!
