Flower petal cells

The glass in the kitchen contains some flowers and a few petals fell in and began to decay.
I realised that the decaying process would render them thinner and so better for viewing under the scope and so.....

Thee was a lot of microbe activity amongst this lot, tiny cilliates and bacteria.

Yep, you can see the plant cells very nicely. Looks like the protozoa Salad Bar :wink:

Thats right Doug, Ive not seen so many little whirlies. Strangely there was a distinct lack of algae but then looking at the water it is kind of a murky orange red colour, a bit like the waters of the Amazon where the rriver dolphins live. Actually i really need to get rid of that water. There is a lot of grey mould on the surface, noit healthy in a kitchen, especially with kids!
