i took a new sample today from my sea water jar samples, had a look through the scope has some rotifers and heaps of ciliates.
when i was looking at them i got a shock from seeing some huge bug run across the feild of view really fast, i was like woah what the hell was that!
so i put the 4x objective on and searched around and woah i found this copepod, i think its a harpacticoida, its so huge, its the largest microbug ive found! you can see it with your bare eyes, its like a tiny tiny spec smaller then a grain of sand
brightfeild 10x
darkfeild 4x
i think im geting better at making microscope images, i like the brightfeild one, i think its easyer the larger they are though.
harpacticoida copepod i think!

allso, ive read the harpacticoida is allso known as "Sea Moth"
it sheaded its skin last night! quite facinating, heres a picture of the shell of skin it left behind, on the other hand the copepod seems to be growing
