I'm pretty sure that I can get a ring adaptor for my light source which would diffuse. The only problem that I have with halogen light is that I need to alter the colour balance on my PC. Even with my Sony set to white balance, the pics still tend to be a bit yellow. I do have filters that I can use on the light source. I might play with the blue one and see if that makes a difference.
