Quote – Holmes on ‘Entomology’
” I suppose you are an entomologist ? “
” Not quite so ambitious as that, sir. I should like to put my eyes on the individual entitled to that name.
No man can be truly called an entomologist,
sir; the subject is too vast for any single human intelligence to grasp.”

You know it takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to get out at night and take a photo like this, though it is quite beautiful. :D I have not seen a snow like that in many a year. Christmas Eve with snow on the ground, many around here hope for such things. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you NU. May you have many more. :D

Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to all from the South of England

Though we lean upon the same balustrade, the colours of the mountain are different.

And from the inland Pacific Northwest of USA also!

The snow in my yard looks a lot like NikonUser's. It's nice winter weather right now -- 25 degrees F (-4 C), not snowing at the moment, but with a forecast for more.

Definitely a White Christmas this year! :D

Merry Xmas from snowy southern OR. We got another 10 inches of snow yesterday and overnight. Over 2 ft in the last week. My snowblower has been way too busy.
