Nice work, first time I've seen a photo of one of these from this angle...

I've never managed a decent image of these, although I did actually see one landed on a wall once, by the time I'd returned with the camera he was flying around again and never settled..

These are hard to capture on camera. They are not still for a moment, so you basically have to get them in flight.

That's a good catch! I see a few buzzing around my yard this time of year, but have never caught one photographically. Untill you know what they are, they do look rather fearsome.

They do look like some kind'a hornet or something or another. What lens did ya shoot this with? :D

The Canon 100mm Macro with kenko extension tubes.

Oh I see. A suped up 100mm macro, just wondering. I have one 25mm extention tube but seldom use it. Thanks :D
