This is a small aphid lion (lacewing larva) walking on a kitchen table.
I guess this qualifies as "nature photography", 'cuz I sure didn't put this critter here and I sure didn't have much control over it!

Technical: Canon A710. Image #1 is at ISO 80, f/5.6, and manual focus at closest distance, illuminated with built-in flash using materials-at-hand diffuser consisting of two note cards held at the front of the lens. (Subject is shaded from direct flash by the lens mount at this focus distance.) Image #2 is available light.

Maybe that explains the small sharp pain in my forearm, just before I brushed something away, looked down, and saw this critter on the table.
It never occurred to me that these things would tackle something as big as a human!
