Beautiful!
I saw this one at your flickr site. I think it looks better here, the way you have it framed in black, but showing against a lighter background.
Some people may grouse about the glared areas being blown out to pure white, but I like it this way. The exposure gives a perfect impression of shiny subject with some bright surroundings, dark shadow under the subject but still with enough detail to make out the OOF feet of the frog. Very nicely done.
In technical specs, be sure to list the camera also. For the same subject framing, f/2.8 will give dramatically less DOF with a full-frame SLR (24 mm x 36 mm sensor) than with a compact digital like the Casio Exilim EX Z-1000 (5.3 mm x 7.2 mm) that you mentioned in an earlier post.
I seem to recall that English is not your native language, though I can't tell that from your postings. Did you spend much time in Massachusetts?

Thanks Rik and Doug
Apologies for not mentioning the camera used.
I spent only three weeks in USA The fact is that I'm a 15 (almost 16)
years old french student, and that I learn english since I was 7...And
considering the fact that I've got my international English GCSE, I think I can
say that I speak english in a quite fluent way, even if I have some grammar
difficulties, and a restricted vocabulary.
This picture is actually quite important for me...I was just 14 when I took it,
knowing nothing about photography. I told myself "Hey, that looks cool..."
This just made me fall in love with photography (not only macro).
With time, I learned a lot about framing, exposure, aperture etc...and
ordered last week a Nikon D200 on eBay...so wait for some more pictures
BTW, some images of my Flickr are 3D renders...BTW, how did you find it ?
Sorry for speaking too much

One of the other admins found it. I'm not sure about the exact path. Your initial post here at photomacrography.net linked to pictures at http://www.kerkythea.net/phpBB2/ . I presume he tracked it down from there.Alex wrote:BTW, some images of my Flickr are 3D renders...BTW, how did you find it ?
Your rendering work is very good -- quite attractive, and difficult or impossible to tell from actual photography. I appreciate this a lot since I did a little CAD and 3D software development many years ago. The improvements since then are astounding!

Nice try, Alex, but there are some retailers who accept Euros, especially at its current value against the pound!Alex wrote:Thanks Harold ! If I come to England, I'll bring only some Euros, so that YOU buy me a beer
