News about the Palos Verdes Blue butterfly

Post by Roy Patience »

There was an interesting article in the Los Angeles Times today about the Palos Verdes Blue butterfly that is on the endangered species list.

If the link doesn't work, go to www.latimes.com and search for "bevy of blues."

This reminded me of the story that Moose Peterson wrote about the El Segundo Blue butterfly another endangered species that lives on the sand dunes under the departure path at Los Angeles International airport.

Maybe I connect with the El Segundo Blue since I drove past their dunes heading home from work for thirty years.

Thanks for the article Roy.
One student hugged a big, red cylindrical cooler. "I come bearing endangered species," she said.
Hats off to them!!!
