Wasp ID please

This wasp has been boring holes in the ends of firewood logs outside our front door, leaving quiteb a pile of sawdust.

It is possible it is one of the thread-waisted wasps (Sphecidae). The ones I know burrow in soil, not wood, but I expect they have a range of habits.

I think it might be Chlorion cyaneum
