Very good ones, Doug! Like #1 and #2 best. They have such a tidy and calm background that doesn´t distract from the insect itself.

FWIW, and if I am not mistaken, #1 looks like Elasmucha and #3 Lilioceris , granted you have 'em over there, what I presume. The latter isn´t always a friend of the gardener, and your picture nicely shows why.:wink:

Thank you everyone for your comments. You are definitly right Betty. The Lily Leaf Beetle Lilioceris lilii (the red beetle), first spotted in 1992 in Massachustts, loves to eat everyones Asian Lilys. Native to Europe. The larva like to cover themselves with their poop. :wink:
