Seal Observer

Post by lothman »

Some of you might know I'm in the business of fluid sealing. And we developed a device called Seal Observer ®

So I made my version of a seal observer.

Nice image. I'm a little bit bothered by that OOF tip of antenna, in an image where everything else seems sharp.

But mostly I'm interested in the subject.

In this case I already know something about crickets, but nothing about a Seal Observer ®.

Can you point me to some reference about that?

Actually I don't want to admit doing insufficient pics ;-)

The seal oberver is a device what we use to look on the sealing edge of an uncut seal ring. Using a mirror or glass prism....

In the pic you see a new cut seal ring on a metal sleeve with a wear track (on the hardened steel) as a result of a test run we did in our lab. The wear on the seal is uneven around the circumference, that's why we build devices to make it easier and more precise to measure those changes.

P.S.: information of the seal observer will be online in the next few weeks.

Very interesting!

When info on the seal observer gets online, it would be great if you could update this thread to point to it. Thanks!
