I used a BD 40x lens (100x on sensor) with, darkfield light from above, some sharpeing and curves (to darken the background a little more) in Photoshop. Stacked with Helicon focus method B.

I guess that you ask because the hair does not look round. The hair in the picture abowe was from the head of a family member, below is a picture that shows a cut hair from my own beard. At least in my family the hairs are not round.Jacek wrote:nice picture, is this hair cut?
There is almost always dust and dirt etc. If I am not after a very specific subject or part of that subject I try to find a subject or a part of it that is as clean as possible. Some subjects can be cleaned but not all. The first hair picture is a good example of a subject where it was quite easy to find a dust free section.
