Frank, these are extremely beautiful images ! The Interphako created amazing and unique colours. They look more like the beautiful drawings (or pastels) than the real micrographs.
Is the Interphako easy for buying ? And how did you get it, on e-bay ?

Hi Marek,

The Interphako Jenaval is extremely difficult to find.
Only 200 copies were produced worldwide.
I have it from a german dealer.

The Interphako is shown on my website, the second one from the top.

Best regards
Frank

These are incredible images--detail, sharpness and color staining of your equipment.

Nice shots how does it work?

Post by Robert Berdan »

Hi Frank - nice photos, it looks like a version of phase contrast that adds or enhances colour. How does the technique work? I searched the web and found this web site: http://interphako.com/ which is in German, but after using Google translation I still did not see anything about how the technique works?

I have both positive and negative phase contrast objectives, Interphako looks more like a coloured version of negative phase - is it? If you have a link or PDF where I might be able to read and learn more about this technique I would appreciate it Frank.

The interphaco microscopes looks pretty big - how much do they cost for new or used one roughtly?

Beautiful pictures.
