I would be tempted by a few of these items if they were in the EU or if I were planning to visit the US relatively soon, but sadly, neither thing applies. Where I live, imports from outside the EU are hit with 25% sales tax on value+shipment costs, plus other fees.

Do you have any example photos showing the extent of the bad front elements for the Nikon and Mitutoyo?

The Mitutoyo coating on the front lens is pretty ugly but the lens cosmetics are good. Looks like it was come kind of chemical damage made worst when someone tried to clean the front element.

The Nikon is not so bad but there is a bad internal element that makes images soft. Looks good with the naked eye.

Thanks, appreciate the photos!

Tempting to pick up one of them to see if anything can be done but probably the usual case of a Nikon/Mitutoyo tech telling you it's cheaper to buy new than repair.

Its a shame to toss them in the trash so I was hoping someone with good glass needed a clean barrel, they unscrew on the Mitutoyo.

I also have a TU Plan Nikon that is bad. I would take them apart for a post but the outer barrel is super tight, I cant get them loose on the Nikons.
