On location:
Coastline of the Colombian Choco:



Crab spider with stingless bee (Trigona sp.):

Salamander (Bolitoglossa sp.):



Araneophagic pirate spider (Gelanor sp.):



Part dominance display showing strength to the female, part forceful copulation, the male crab holds the already egg bearing female while he fertilizes her eggs, which can be seen as a reddish-brown mass beneath her. This holding pattern can last from hours to days, sometimes until the female's next moult:

would like one of your camp site at some time.

Drawn to the last shot of crashing waves, something that i cannot put my finger on keeps bringing me back.
