I don't see many of these here. He's only about the second or third.
I didn't even notice the pill bug until post.

Check around in damp wooded places and i think you'll find them everywhere.
I used to live in the Maumee Bay area and it seems they were quite common,
We've got tons of them here in Minnesota but i find them tricky to capture in macro since they cover such a relatively large area.
Here's my best effort to date:

Unfortunately, I've only got two nights and a limited area in which to find live macro subjects.
