Not the best pictures I have ever taken but because of Charlie's complaints.

These were some quick shots of an Euglena bloom I found. The only micrographs I made in a long time. I should have taken a bit more time to make better images but I was in a hurry. The sample was just not flat enough to get all the details in focus. Microscopy is all about the right flatness and you need time and patience!

Yeah well it looks like my complaining has produced a few new pictures

These are really nice shots. These type of euglena are nearly impossible to get sharp "head-to-tail" in a single image. But I think when you have a nice large group of identical ones, as you have here, the image works very well. Probably because the eye can "wander" from one specimen to another and find excellent detail for all parts... the "nose" may be slightly out-of-focus in one, but sharp in another. So overall it works!
