For me the main advantages with water dipping for plant tissue is that I have a long time to watch the subject. In air it starts to dry and with oil immersion I have the feeling that I have to work even faster, but that can probably be different with different types of tissue.
Here is the nettle with Olympus UMPlanFl 20x/0.50 Water dipping lens. The first is just slightly cropped, curves and sharpening in Adobe. The stereo is at 100% - actual pixel.
